Open source · Agent-first product tracker

Ship happens.

The product tracker built to work with AI agents. You decide what's worth building. Agents ask what's next, build it, and tell you what happened.

  • MIT licensed
  • Rails + SQLite, no external services
  • Runs on your own machine
  • MCP + CLI for every action

For you · what needs your attention

to save a post as a template...

Made by makers. For makers.

You decide what's worth building. Agents build it, and leave a trail you can actually read.

Three steps, one loop

Your effort goes where it matters: deciding. The rest runs on its own and reports back.

  1. 01

    Define with AI

Write the brief, the roadmap and stories with acceptance criteria and Paper mockups. Enough context for an agent to build without asking.

    Brief · Roadmap · Stories

  2. 02

    Ask what's next

The agent crosses the roadmap, the open stories and what's already in the code, picks the one that makes most sense, and starts.

    $ mt next · $ mt start 49

  3. 03

    Ship and report

It updates the state, links the commit and the PR, and leaves its decisions on the story. When it gets stuck, it asks you, with options.

    $ mt done 49 --pr 62

Light, on purpose.

Sprints and points were built to measure human teams. Your agents build now. The bottleneck is how much you define.

  • Sprints
  • Story points
  • Velocity charts
  • Fifteen custom fields
  1. a

    Agents are users, not plugins

Everything you can do in the UI, an agent can do over MCP or the CLI, with the same meaning. Answers are compact markdown, made for a context window.

  2. b

    Facts stay facts

Agents write reasoning and content. Maker Tracker owns transitions, dates, commits and who did what, and no agent can rewrite them.

  3. c

Every alert comes with its options

What happened, what to read, what you can do. Each option is also a command, so you and your agents see the same thing.

  4. d

    Context lives with the project

Vision, decisions and principles are stored next to the stories, and agents load them before recommending anything.

Are we free?

Yes. MIT licensed and self hosted. It runs on your laptop, your home server or a box on Tailscale. Your roadmap never leaves your machine.
